Course Introduction

Designed for learners who participate in any level of manual handling in the workplace or in their day to day lives. This qualification covers how to move and handle objects in a safe way and minimise the risk of injury to yourself and others when undertaking manual tasks.

Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF)

What are the Entry Requirements?

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

The qualification is suitable for learners aged 14 years and above.

How long does it take?

It is recommended that learners recieve 10 hours of guided learning. This can be a combination of practical workshop attendance and self-paced online (or offline) learning.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Practical Observation during the workshop and a multiple choice question paper (online or paper)

Will I Need To Attend Classes?

Yes, learners are required to attend a workshop for a minimum of 3 hours
