What We Do

We are a registered training provider, based in Ashford and Folkestone, Kent, offering local and national Ofqual Approved Vocational Qualifications, apprenticeships and functional skills qualifications across a range of sectors, specialising in (but not limited to) the Early Years, Education and TAQA (training, assessment and quality assurance) workforce.  ** For our free courses and cert-4-£1 training offers - visit our blog**

We are proud to deliver a range of apprenticeship standards within the education and childcare sector including:

 

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship

Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship

Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship

Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship

We are proud to deliver accredited work based training (formally NVQs) and online learning courses in the following areas:

  • Teaching and Education

  • Leadership and Management

  • Early Years (including Safeguarding) and Health & Social Care

  • First Aid and Manual Handling

Continuing professional development for early years settings (£10-20 pp)

We provide a range of flexible CPD and early years foundation stage training courses to the early years workforce and educational settings including our most popular workshops (now available via Zoom):

  • Using signs and symbols in early years

  • Sustained shared thinking - How to get this right!

  • Loose parts play - Simple ideas that inspire and excite!

  • Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values in Educational settings

At Maybird Training, our Early Years Educators have collaborated closely with outstanding settings across the sector to find out the all-important answer to “What makes them Outstanding?”. The following EIF workshops (within Kent) focus on frequently asked questions that will give you the tools you need to evaluate your provision and implement useful tips and simple ideas that have been tried and tested by real people in outstanding settings:

  • The quality of education (includes cultural capital)

  • Behaviour and attitudes (includes characteristics of effective learning)

  • Personal development (includes emotional literacy)

Workshops with children (£30-£50 per session)

Our DBS checked Early Years Educators also provide mini training sessions (within Kent) directly to children in early years, childminding settings, afterschool clubs and youth services including:

  • First aid for children aged 3-4

  • First aid for children aged 5-11
